You are welcome back to our discussion on the right questions to ask before marriage. I strongly believe and hope that you are gaining wisdom and useful insights that will help you be better when it comes to getting involved in a relationship. This series of teachings can be a lifesaver and a great source of blessing to many because it will save you from the horrors of failed relationships and disappointment. This is why I believe this series of teachings will be of great help and assistance. And I have been sharing some of the thought-provoking questions that you need to ask and today by his grace, we will continue with some other important questions! So off we go!

RIGHT QUESTIONS TO ASK:

11. Is my gut feeling telling me they are the right one or am I convincing myself of it? This is perhaps one of the most important questions that you need to ask yourself because your convictions matter a lot. At times people focus on the outside, without checking up on things on the inside. So make sure you follow your inner conviction and persuasion because it will never lead you astray. Rom8v16:14v5.

12. Does this person have good values and manners? Are there any potential red flags on opinions as per the things we have discussed together? This is another important question that you need to ask yourself before you say I do. Rut2v11-12.

13. Is the person your best friend? Or do you feel comfortable confiding in this person no matter what?

14. What kind of background are they from? What are the parents and siblings like? This line of questioning will also greatly help you in making a good decision about the choice of who to marry. So my dear friends, make sure you ask these questions so that you can be at peace with yourself and also feel more comfortable in making the right decision. Gen24v3-4, 15.

15. When you fight are you able to talk things through constructively? Or do you scream and shout or have long periods of silence afterward? There is no way you would not have conflicts but the way you resolve them is a major determinant of whether you will be together or not! So make sure you are honest with yourself as you ask these questions. Amos3v3; Eph4v3.

My dear brothers and sisters, I pray that the Lord will further give you illumination and light as you meditate on these truths.
