Genesis 12 verse 1-4 (NKJV):  Now the Lord had said to Abram:”Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

There’s nothing like the Power of Obedience because it will take your life to another dimension. This is why I have been sharing the power of obedience with you. From what you have seen in the life of Father Abraham, it’s clear what God can do with a life that is submissive to his will. So, my dear brothers and sisters, to what extent do you obey God? Do you know how to obey him at all? If you have been following this series, you will observe that I have been sharing some insights on How to Obey God. Today by his grace, I will be shedding more light on this important subject matter. Let’s examine them without wasting time.

HOW TO OBEY GOD?

7. Speedily.

This simply means without delay or procrastination. Our Obedience should be timely and promptly. When it comes to obeying God, are you quick or slow? Are you eager to obey God, or do you drag your feet? God wants you to obey him on time. This is how he ought to be obeyed. May this become a regular feat in your life in Jesus name. Jam 1 v 19

8. Completely.

God wants you to obey him totally, not partially, or choose the part you like or want. This was what King Saul did that led to his downfall. He did not obey God totally. He was selective in the things he did. No wonder he lost the heritage of Kingship to another person. Dear brothers and sisters, what God wants from you is total surrender to his will and not a half-hearted commitment to his will.  It’s time to obey God wholeheartedly. Acts 13 v 22

9. Unconditionally.

God wants to be obeyed without reservations or conditions. When it comes to obeying God, you don’t give him conditions; he is the one who gives the conditions. I have discovered that you can’t obey God on your own terms but on his own terms. This is why if you are the type of person that is full of excuses, you might not obey God. Your resolution should be to obey God without any strings attached. This is the way God wants to be obeyed. Lk 9 v 59 – 60.

Beloved, it’s a new season for you. I can see things changing for the better for you. May your obedience life never remain the same again in Jesus name, amen.
