Daniel 6verse1-3 ‘V1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; V2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. V3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.’

An Excellent spirit is a manifestation of the anointing to prosper or excel. And this spirit is in every child of God; it just needs to be activated or put to work. 1Jn2v20,27. It is obvious that Daniel walked in this spirit of excellence, as we can see in Daniel 6verse3. God wants you as his child to operate in this dimension. As you can see, this excellent spirit makes you superior to or notable above all others. It also makes you to be outstanding, eminent, surpassing and even better than others. However, in order to fully operate in this dimension, you need to know what this excellent spirit is capable of. So what would this excellent spirit (i.e., of God) accomplish in your life?

1. It makes you better than your contemporaries or competition. There is no doubt that you are not the only smart person out there. There is no doubt there you have an opposition out there. This is why you need to know how to cooperate with the excellent spirit of God that is on your side if you will win in the business of life. This is what happened to Daniel in Babylon! This anointing can also help you be far better than your contemporaries if you begin to yield to it. So what are you waiting for? Dan1v20: Pro31v29

2. It elevates and promotes you! This is what happened to Daniel and his three friends in Babylon. This excellent spirit of God is a lighter and raiser of men. It will also give you prominence and recognition in life as you learn to yield and surrender to it. Esth2v9: Ps45v7. My dear friends, permit me to declare that your season of lifting and rising is here!

3. Makes you a Problem solver or a solution provider. This is one of the functions of this anointing. This is what you also see in manifestation in the life of Daniel in Babylon. He had unusual insights and wisdom about the naughty issues of life. You also see this in manifestation in the life of Joseph in Egypt. It’s the same anointing. It’s no respecter of persons but a respecter of faith. So as you too begin to put your faith in this anointing. It will do wonders and mighty things in your life. Dan5v12,14: Gen41v16,38-39

My dearly beloved ones, it’s time for you to activate this excellent spirit within you. It’s already in you. You just need to put it to work by yielding to it and also making a demand of it. As you do this, God will begin to set you apart from your colleagues and contemporaries. You will seize to just being a number or figure but a person of influence and importance.
