Habakkuk 3verse17-19: ‘V17- Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: V18- Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. V19- The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.’

The Truth has the power to set you free if you embrace it. This is why I also believe that these nuggets about the recession we have been considering will set you free completely and set you on a new pedestal of glory. As you receive and appropriate these truths, your life will never be the same again in Jesus name, amen. Again without much ado, what are truths you need to know about recession?

TRUTHS ABOUT RECESSION:

7. In times of recession, either you are on the winning or losing side. There are only 2 possibilities. There are only 2 sides. There is no neutrality. It’s either you are going up or down. It’s either you are on the receiving or giving side.

All these depend on the choices you make or how you respond to the recession. So what kind of choices are you making? Those who stay connected to God never lose out. This was what made Joseph a winner in the time of recession. He became a source of blessing to his family, the nation of Israel, and other nations because he made the right choices along the way. On the other hand, Elimelech and his two sons perished in the land of Moab leaving behind Naomi, whereas Boaz a family member of his, prospered in the same land he left. Rut1v1-5:2v1. So my dear friends, make good use of a time of recession. This is one of the ways by which you can rise above the tide. As a general rule, if you want to profit out of a time of recession you need to see the recession from the following angles:

-See it as a time of looking inwards. Use it as a time of reflective thinking to know what to do. Ps39v3.

-See it as a time of seeking God. It is those who seek God’s face earnestly that he eventually reveals himself to or the answers that they need to know. So ensure you are one of those who seek him in and out of season. Jer29v13; 2Sam21v1.

-See it as a time of making wise choices and decisions. The decisions you make today will determine your tomorrow. Your decisions determine your destiny. So make sure you make the right calls and moves in times of famine. Don’t move without God. Always wait on him to know what to do and where to go. Pro16v9; Ps27v14: 37v23-24: 32v8.

My dear friends, I pray that as you take heed to these instructions, you will find yourself on the winning side of recession in Jesus name amen.
