Habakkuk 3verse17-19: ‘V17- Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: V18- Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. One of the major keys to dominion is having the right kind of information at your disposal. And one of such keys is the right knowledge about recession, economic decline, or downturn. As a believer, you ought not to be afraid of recession and one of the ways to do this, is to understand what recession is all about. This is what I will be sharing with you in this series of teachings and I strongly believe that you will be greatly blessed. So without much ado, what are the basic truths about recession that I need to know?
TRUTHS ABOUT RECESSION:
1. Recession is not a new thing. So this means that there is nothing new about recession. This is not the first time there is a recession, neither will this be the last time there is a recession. My dear friends, this is one of the fundamental truths about recession that you need to know with absolute conviction. Eccl1v9. So settle this once and for all, there is nothing new about recession. There have been as many as 47 recessions in the United States of America since 1790. And guess what? We also have examples of recession times in the Bible, aside from our text scripture. Some examples include Gen12v10: 26v1; 2Ki6v25; Acts11v28.
So my dear friends, cheer up for there is nothing new about recession.
2. Recession is not forever. This is another major truth that you need to know about recession. It’s not going to be forever. Hallelujah! This simply means that it has an expiry date. Glory be to God, for everything that has a beginning certainly has an end. If you can remember the famine that happened in Egypt in Bible times was for 7 years. So it means that Egypt came out of it. From history, we know that the United Kingdom recession of 2008 was over by 2009. The same is also true concerning the United States of America (was in recession in 2008 but came out of it by the summer of 2009). So my dear brothers and sisters, don’t be dismayed or discouraged for there is an end to whatever kind of recession that you may be going through. After darkness comes light, so cheer up for your redemption is near. 2Ki6v25: 7v1-2, 18.
