Isaiah 54 verse2-3: V2- Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; V3- For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

You are welcome back to this series of teachings on stretching ourselves. This is an area of our lives where we need to be brutally frank with ourselves if we want to grow deeper and stronger. There is no limit to how far you can grow if you are ready to stretch. God has not placed any limit on you, but most of the time, we are the ones who are limiting ourselves. Ps81v10-11, 16.

So, if you experience new growth how do you need to stretch?

HOW TO STRETCH:

5. By having someone you can look up to. By this, I mean a coach or mentor. There is someone ahead of you in your chosen field of endeavour. There are people who have been to where you are trying to go, and you make your journey easier by connecting with them. So are you ready to pay the price? Matt4v19; Acts4v13.

6. By attending a Great Event or visiting a great place. The places we go can either have a positive or negative effect on our lives, so where you go matters! Therefore, if you want to grow, then you need to be selective about where you go. I have discovered over time that seeing what others are doing can motivate you to grow. So, where do you think you can go to stretch yourself?

7. Not running away from challenges or problems. This is one means of stretching yourself! When you choose to be a problem solver, it stretches and changes your life for the better. So my dear friends, stop running away from challenges; instead, run towards them. Embrace challenges as David did. Because he was willing to face the lion, bear, and Goliath, he experienced growth at new levels. This, too, can be your testimony if you do the same.

8. By waiting on the Lord. This principle of waiting on God has been known to stretch many people who did it in spirit and in truth. Isa40v31. How prepared are you for these amazing insights?
