Matthew 4verse4 ‘But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.’
God’s will and plan for you as his child is to live by his instructions. This is what he meant by living by his mouth in Matthew 4verse4. Another way of saying this is that he wants you to pay attention to what he is saying to you. Rev3v6; Jer42v6.
So, to what extent are you sensitive to his instructions? This is a very important question that you need to consider! Why is this question so important? I will tell you why in a moment! Your ability to discern his instructions to you will determine the following things in your life:
1. Whether you will get to your promised land or not. Another way of saying this is if you will get to your desired destination or not. Not everyone arrives at their desired destination in life. And at times, the reason is because of not following instructions. So you see why you need to pay attention to His instructions to you! Ps81v10-11, 16.
2. Whether you will fulfil your destiny or purpose or not. Do you know that there is a pathway to your purpose in life? And failure to work along these ways will prolong your journey or even make you forfeit your destiny. I pray that this will not be your portion in life. This is the reason why you need to pay attention to God’s instructions to you. Jer10v23; Pro20v24.
3. Whether you will prevail against the plans of Satan or not. The enemy of your soul often sets traps or snares along the pathway of destiny. This is why you need God’s help to avoid or prevail over Satan’s traps. 2Cor2v11; Eph4v27. So, my dear reader, if you will ever prevail against Satan’s plans, then you need to be sensitive to what God has to say to you.
My dear brothers and sisters, I believe you can see why living by God’s instructions is crucial now. So watch out for his instructions. Start paying attention to what God is saying to you via his written or spoken Word from today. Make up your mind that you will also listen to his Holy Spirit. As you do this, I see you dominating and ruling your world in Jesus name, amen. If you are receiving this, can I hear a resounding amen?
