Romans12verse12 ‘Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.’

Are there ways and manners by which we should be praying? The answer is a definite yes! There are ways you ought to be praying as a believer if you are interested in getting results in your prayers and if you really want to see God’s hand in your life. So, to what extent have you been praying in this manner? What kind of testimonies or results do you have in the place of prayer? These are some of the questions you must ask yourself if you want to be victorious in your prayer life. So, how are you supposed to be praying? From what we can see in the scriptures, it is apparent that there are ways God wants you and I to pray and I would like us to consider some of them today!

3. Pray with a sense of devotion. God wants you to be devoted and dedicated to the ministry of prayer. This is how you ought to pray with results. This is the way to go in your prayer life. Be dedicated and sold out to the business of prayer or praying. When you pray like this, you will begin to notice the undeniable hand of God in all your endeavours. So it’s time for you to pray with a sense of devotion and commitment. Lk2v36-37. Stop allowing things or people to come between your time of prayer and fellowshipping with God. As you make this resolution today, I see you gaining the upper hand in your prayer life. Acts3v1.

4. Pray with a sense of purpose. What does this mean? It means to be deliberate and Intentional with your prayers. This concept can further be understood as follows:
-Be precise and clear about what you want your prayer to achieve. Don’t be aimless or directionless in your prayers. This is one of the secrets of answered prayers. Always let your prayers have a goal or target. Mk11v24. In this way, you will be able to know when your prayers are answered or not.
-Decide to pray as when due or whenever you want to pray. This is also another meaning of praying with purpose. The decision to pray is one of most profitable decisions you can ever make in your life. So endeavour to use this method of praying and you see the profound effect it will have on your prayer life. Ps55v16-17.

My dear brothers and sisters, these are some of the ways God expects you to pray. I believe that you have been blessed in today’s lesson. Kindly join me tomorrow as we continue with this interesting series.
