Being Intentional 1

Daniel 1verse8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”

What kind of life are you living? Are you living by chance, coincidence, by default or by purpose? Life is not meant to be lived anyhow but lived intentionally. This was how Daniel lived while in captivity (Babylon). He was intentional about his convictions and his service to God. Hence the reason why you ought to bear the power of being Intentional into your life too. By the way what does it mean to be Intentional? Living Intentionally means to:

• To live by choice or design and not by accident or default.
  -It’s a life of not accepting everything or doing nothing.
  -It’s been deliberate and purposeful about what you do, who you are and where you go!
  My dear brothers and sisters, when it comes to the issues of life, I want you to know that you have a choice and you should not just accept anything. This is why you should practice intentional living. You need to be intentional with your life, time, treasure, witnessing, talents, service, relationships e.t.c. You need to make intentional living a priority in your life. I’m sure you are wondering why you should be intentional? There are reasons why you need to be Intentional with your life and I’ll like us to examine some of these reasons.

REASONS TO BE INTENTIONAL:

1. Because you have just a life to live. Life is not a dress rehearsal, hence the reason why you need to live your life properly or intentionally. Give it your best shot! You may never have a second chance to make a first impression. Live your life very well. Make the most of your time here on earth so as to live a fulfilled life at the end of the day. This is why you should major on living intentionally. Ps39v4

2. Because nothing just happens. Things are made to happen. They just don’t happen by themselves or by coincidence. This is why your moves, actions, decisions, and deeds matter a lot. God and the universe rewards movers and workers not just sitters or watchers. Beloved, until you move, nothing else moves! Promises and prophecies means nothing if you fail to act. So make sure that you are intentional with your life. Matt21v1-7

3. Because this is how you can get the best out of life. In fact, everything that God has in store for you won’t manifest, if you are the lazy type or someone who doesn’t know how to take Initiatives. This is why you can’t afford to be an onlooker, but you need to be a part of the people that make things happen. There are two sides to experiencing your destiny. i.e. Divine and human side. You have to be willing to do your part, so that God can do his part. This is the reason why you must be intentional with ll that you do. Amo3v3

So my dear reader, it’s time to be proactive and not reactive about life. It’s time to be an initiator and not a passive person. Get involved in the business of life and living and you’ll see that things will change for the better. I see you making that move today! Rejoice because it’s your new season!

Prayer For Today: Lord, I choose to be intentional with my life! Help me Holy Spirit to be faithful to the end.

CONFESSION: An Intentional life is the type of life that I live. I rebel against living anyhow or by chance or coincidence! I choose to live by design and not by default. I choose to be intentional in everything that I do! As I embrace this way of life fully, my life is becoming more satisfying and fulfilling in Jesus name amen.
