Luke 6v38: Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together; and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

You are welcome back to our discussion on the subject of sowing and reaping. The Almighty designed this eternal and powerful principle to change our lives and put us in a position to affect things for the better. This is why you need to understand how to reap the rich dividends of sowing and reaping. God’s intention for you is to never labor in vain. I want you to know that He means exactly what He says in (Luke 6:38). Give and it shall be given to you; it is a fundamental and timeless principle of life. The universe always rewards actions, which is why these principles are important. You need to understand its operations because you will need it surely and often in life. The focus of our discussion today will be centered around how to really reap the benefits of giving and receiving. So if you are ready for this, you need to pay attention to the following things.

HOW TO EXPERIENCE THE HARVEST?

1. Be sensitive to what God is saying to you. Most of the time, we are not listening to his voice or instructions. I have discovered from experience that after you might have given or sowed your seeds either by way of tithing or giving generally or specifically, you need to be watchful for his instructions to you. We see this precedence in scriptures in the miracle of the loaves where Jesus fed 5000 people besides women and children (Matt.14v19-20) and Luke chapter 5 when Jesus borrowed the boat of Peter for his preaching engagement. In all these experiences, you will discover that an instruction was issued that led to the harvest that came forth. So, therefore, you too, need to be watchful of what God wants to say to you. God always has something to say to you. I believe one word from God can change your life and situation forever. So these instructions are becoming your testimony in the name of Jesus, amen (Ps.46v10).

2. Release your faith for the harvest and also keep your faith alive. What do I mean by this? To release your faith simply means:

i. For you to believe God to do what he promised to do. Listen to this; this is one way by which you release your faith if you are going to receive the full dividends that come from giving and receiving whenever you sow your seeds. You need to believe the promises of God concerning the harvest for you; this is so vitally important if you are going to reap (Acts 27v25).

ii. To expect God to perform all that he has said. This is how you release your faith. You expect God to do exactly what he has said. Remember, He is a covenant-keeping God. He does not lie, neither will he fail you. If He says that through the principle of giving and receiving, there shall be open doors, uncommon blessings and favors, and even breakthroughs come your way. You need to expect that there will be a performance of such and it’s something that you need to keep holding out your faith in. What do I mean? Keep your faith alive. Keep the switch of faith on because anything can happen, especially when you least expect it (Pro.23v18; Rom.4v20).

3. Be aggressively thankful for the harvest. This is the way to reap the harvest of your giving. Never complain or waver in your faith or expectation. Thanksgiving is the voice of Miracles. Never be tired of thanking God for the fulfillment of his promises to you. This is how you will enter into the season of your breakthrough, so never stop thanking God. Thanksgiving ushers you into your season of harvest (Col4v2), don’t let the enemy steal your joy by not allowing you to be in the mood of Thanksgiving regardless of what you are going through or where you are. Keep thanking God because he is more than faithful to do what he says he will do. Don’t get carried away by the distractions of the enemy. Don’t let him side-track you from your harvest. It is a new day; receive it in Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the power of giving or receiving. I believe that as I co-operate with your word, I shall be a partaker of the dividends and blessings thereof in Jesus’ name, amen.

CONFESSION: Heavenly Father, thank you for the blessings and rich dividends that giving and receiving brings into someone’s life. I am a partaker of this blessing. My life is also a testament to the fact that God is faithful. I am lifted, honored, promoted, and elevated by the law of giving and receiving. Every promise that the word declares concerning my seed and reaping is mine. My world revolves around the promises of God and my life testifies to his faithfulness. Glory be to God in the highest; this is my story and song!
