Luke 14verse18 ‘ And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.’
Taking responsibility is accepting that you are the cause and the solution of the matter. And this is how God wants you to live as a believer. It is clear from our text scripture (Luke14v18) that it’s easier to make excuses than to take responsibility. As you can see from the parable that Jesus gave, that despite all these men being properly invited to the feast, they all came up with one form of excuse or the other. They were not willing to take responsibility. My dearly beloved ones, you can’t be successful if you are not ready to take responsibility. This is why you need to start taking responsibility. It’s time to stop blaming people, things, the environment, your siblings or parents, upbringing etc. for your failures. When you make excuses, you are actually accusing yourself. So my dear friends take responsibility for:
Yourself.
Your Life.
Where you are.
Your Actions.
Where you intend to be.
Your Joy and Happiness.
Your Failures, mistakes and Errors.
Your Future and Tomorrow.
Your Results.
Today and Your Day.
If you take this admonition to heart, I assure you that your life will greatly change for the better. You will notice a newness about you and things will take on a new meaning! And most importantly, success will become a common occurrence in your life! I pray that as you start taking responsibility you will experience Success on a new level in Jesus name amen.
