Eph.2v6: And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Do you realize that you now have a new status or position in Christ? What this means is that your position has changed. Christ took your place so that you can have his place (2Cor.5v21). As you can see in Eph.2v6, you are now seated with Christ in heavenly places. This is your new position, and it’s time for you to begin to walk in the reality of this promise. This is why this series of teaching is coming your way. Your heavenly Father wants you to know and also experience in totality your inheritance in Christ. It’s not just enough to know these truths but to also walk in them. In our last lesson, I shared some of our new statuses in Christ and today, by his grace, I will shed more light on some other dimensions of the new position. I believe you are ready for this, so here we go!

NEW STATUS IN CHRIST:

3. You are now a child of God. This means you are God’s child. You are his son or daughter, as the case may be. This is your new status and position in Christ. You have moved from a beggar to an owner. You have moved from a bastard to a bonafide child of the house.
You are no longer a slave but a son. Dearly beloved, this is how to see yourself henceforth. You are God’s son or daughter, and all the privileges of sonship belongs to you. It’s time for you to embrace your new position in Christ and stop seeing yourself from a contrary viewpoint. Are you going to make the paradigm shift today? I’m sure your answer is a YES. So go forth in the power of this revelation (Gal.4v7).

4. You are an heir of the promise. Who is an heir? An heir is an inheritor or a possessor. The Bible says you are an heir of God and also joint-heirs with Christ (Rom.8v17). This is your new position in Christ, and it’s time for you to embrace this truth and also walk in this revelation fully. Regardless of your background or gender, our heavenly Father left you a wealthy inheritance. My dear reader, the time has come for you to start seeing yourself as an heir and not someone without any inheritance. Say this out loud, “Glory be to God, I have a glorious inheritance in Christ and I’m ready to access everything that my heavenly father has laid up for me” (Col.1v12).

5. You are a priest of God. The priesthood is your heritage now as a child of God and it’s also the position you now occupy. This is how to see yourself. This is God’s will for you. You are his representative. You are his spokesman. You are his mediator. You are the middle man between God and man. You are not only to represent men before God but to also reconcile men to God. Wow! This is an enviable position that you now occupy in Christ. So start seeing yourself as God’s representative from today. Start seeing yourself as his vessel and instrument today. I guarantee you he will take you to places beyond your wildest imaginations as you embrace these truths. I see your life also take on a new meaning as you manifest your new status in Christ. This shall be your testimony in Jesus name (1Pet.2v5, 9).

Prayer for Today: Father God, thank you for making me your child, your heir and priest. In Jesus name, I fully acknowledge and believe this!

CONFESSION: I embrace my new status and position in Christ fully. And I walk in the reality of my new status in Christ. I believe in my new status and position. I choose to see myself from this standpoint and I renounce other contrary thoughts and expectations. In the name of Jesus, I appropriate and receive in reality my new position in Christ.
