I am super excited about this series of lessons on your identity in Christ because I know that it will change your life for the better. As I have also seen the transformation it has brought to several lives as they embrace this truth, your life won’t be an exception in Jesus name, amen. Today by His grace, we shall be examining another truth of who you are now in Christ, which is:
- You are His anointed (1 Corinthians 3:23). This is your new status in Christ. So, what does it mean to be the Lord’s anointed? It means:
- You are a carrier of His anointing. You carry His power, glory, divine ability, and presence. This is who you are in Christ. It means you are no longer powerless but now powerful in Christ. Glory be to God; you are the reservoir of His power (1 Corinthians 3:16).
- You have power with God. It’s something you already possess and it’s your heritage in Christ because you are anointed now! Say this out loud “I have power with God.” How does this make you feel? (Acts 1:8). The anointing is with you.
- The anointing is resident in you. This means that God’s power dwells, abides, and lives within you. Glory be to God; you are the dwelling place of God because God’s power is alive in you. Do you believe this? If you do, mountains and obstacles will give way for you (1 John 2:20, 27).
- The anointing is upon you. The Spirit of the Lord is upon your life. His mighty power is on your life and I know that whatsoever God has put His hands upon can never remain the same. So, your life can no longer be ordinary. Do you truly believe this? (Isaiah 61:1).
- The anointing is for you. As the Lord’s anointed, the anointing is there to fight your battles. The anointing will defend and secure you in the battles of life and you won’t be put to shame in Jesus name. Do you believe this? (Romans 8:31).
Precious child of God, are you ready to fully embrace your new status in Christ as His anointed?
