I believe you have been enjoying this series on your new identity in Christ and our discourse on who we are in Christ. Today by His grace, I will be sharing with you some other discoveries about our new identity in Christ. As we go on this journey today, I pray that you will come into the fullness of your new identity in Christ. So, who are you now in Christ?

  • You are His child. Glory be to God! God is now your daddy and you are now sons and daughters of God. You are not a beggar, bastard, or slave but a child of God. You now have rights and privileges because you are a bona fide child of God. You were begotten of God and you belong to Him. This is your new status in Christ and this how to see yourself from henceforth. So, say “no” to every other contrary thought or opinion (Romans 8:15-16; Galatians 3:26).
  • You are a member of God’s family. You are a member of the household of faith. You are part of a great family. You are not alone but you have other brothers and sisters from all over the world. You are in a good company because this is the best family you can ever belong to. Precious child of God, you need to know from today that you belong to the family of God and you are safe and secure in this family (Ephesians 3:15; Galatians 3:28).
  • You are close to God. By virtue of your position as His child and a member of His family, you are no longer distant or far away from God. You are now very close to Him. In fact, much closer than you can ever imagine. You are no longer an outcast, separated, or severed from God. You can access your heavenly Father any day, anytime, and anywhere. This is your new identity in Christ and this is how God expects you to see yourself. So, embrace and receive it in Jesus name, amen (Ephesians 2:13-15).

Precious saints of God, I pray that the revelation of this precious truths will change your life forever.
