(2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new)
The subject of understanding your identity in Christ is a very important one and it’s something every serious-minded believer should be interested in. That is why we will still be talking about knowing who you are in Christ and in today’s lesson we shall be focusing on another important truth in Christ Jesus which is:
- You are complete in Christ. This is your new identity in Christ and this is how you need to see yourself henceforth. Your completion is not in your ability or accomplishment but in Christ or the Anointed. So, in Christ is your perfection and completion (Colossians 2:10). What does it mean to be complete in Christ?
- You are perfect in Christ. A lot of people suffer from “class problem” or “not adequate syndrome” hence the reason they are always trying to measure up. However, for you as a believer in Jesus Christ, you are not inferior or of a lower class to anyone, because you are beautiful and perfect in Christ (1Peter 2:10).
- You lack nothing in Christ. Christ is your sufficiency; therefore, you lack nothing. For everything you need now, tomorrow and you will ever need is already provided in Christ. So, you have no business worrying about any need. Stop looking to any man or any system, but look up to Christ who is your source and sufficiency (2Corinthians 3:5-6).
- Your satisfaction is in Christ. This means that your fulfillment and accomplishment lies in Christ. He is your satisfier and joy. No other person or thing can ever satisfy you like Christ. Real satisfaction comes from Jesus and this is why you need to focus on Him solely (Ps.107:8). Precious child of God, it’s time to fully embrace your completeness in Christ. It’s time to walk in the consciousness of this reality. May the revelation of this truth change your life forever and may you be satisfied with the riches of His provisions and grace.

Prayer for Today: Precious Holy Spirit, help me to fully comprehend my completeness in Christ. Today, I affirm and believe wholeheartedly that Christ is my perfector, my sufficiency, and my satisfier. Therefore, I will not be put to shame in Jesus name Amen.
CONFESSION: I declare today that I am complete in Christ. Therefore, I lack nothing good. I have all and I abound. Christ is my source and sufficiency; therefore, all my needs whether spiritual, emotional, physical, financial, or professional, are well provided in Christ. I refuse to worry or fret for Christ is my satisfaction. Therefore, he will fulfill my dreams, joy, expectation, and desires. He makes up for my inadequacies and failures; therefore, I will not be put to shame in Jesus’ name, Amen.
