(2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new)

I trust that this series of lessons on knowing your identity in Christ is helping you in every possible way. My focus today will be on another exciting discovery about who you are in Christ. So, what’s today’s discovery all about?

  • You are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). You are not just a conqueror but more than a conqueror! Why is this so? Because Jesus has fought the battle on your behalf; all you need to do is just to enforce the victory that has been won. The Scripture says you are more than a conqueror and this is how you need to see yourself. So, what does it mean to be more than a conqueror? It means:
  • You are a victor and not a victim. You are the predator and not the prey. It means you have been empowered to prevail in the battles of life; therefore, there is no room for defeat for you are destined to win. Christ’s victory is your victory. So, what are you currently faced with? I want you to know that in Christ, you have what it takes to win that battle and you will win in Jesus name (1 John 4:4).
  • Winning is your heritage because Jesus has never lost any battle as He is always prevailing. In the same vein, you need to know that since Christ’s victory over the devil and his cohorts is a total victory, you too can have a decisive victory over your troubles and challenges. As someone who is more than a conqueror, winning is in your DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) henceforth. So, no need to fear or fret because Jesus has done a comprehensive job over the enemy to guarantee your victory! (1 John 5:4). So, say this out loud ‘I am more than a conqueror.’ Precious child of God, I hope you can see the extent of God’s love for you by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He has done the dirty job of taking out the enemy of your soul; it’s now your duty to enforce the victory. Will you rise up to the challenge? As you do this, you will silence the operations of the enemy in your life comprehensively in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I am more than a conqueror. I have a conqueror’s spirit; therefore, I cannot be subdued or conquered. I win in all the battles of life because Christ’s victory is complete victory for me. His victory over Satan is my victory over Satan and all his cohorts. I am a winner and not a loser. I tread upon my high places and I also possess my possessions. This is my heritage and experience because I triumph by Christ Jesus.
