Why You Need To Review Your Goals 1

Ecclesiastes 3verse1 ’To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven’

According to our text scripture (Ecclesiastes 3verse1) there is a time for everything. This also means that there is a time to set goals and also a time to review your goals. It’s not just important to just set goals, you also need to review them. In fact, reviewing your goals is also a great part of accomplishing your goals. And this is why you need to pay attention to this. In order to know why you need to review your goals, you need to know what review is all about. So what does the Word review mean?

The Word review means the following:
-A formal assessment of something with the intention of instituting change if necessary
-A critical appraisal of a thing.
-To think or talk about something again in order to make changes to it or to make a decision about it.
-To look at a thing again: to study or examine again.
These are just some of the ideas of what review is all about and some of the things you ought to consider.
So why should you review your goals? What are some of the things that you stand to benefit from reviewing your goals? Without much ado, let’s examine some of the important reasons for reviewing your goals:

1. To know where you are with regards to the fulfillment of your goals. If you don’t know where you are, how can you know where you ought to be? 2Cor13v5

2. To be able to ascertain whether you have made progress or not. My dear friends, this is another major reason why you need to review your goals from time to time.

3. To know the areas that you need to work on or improve.

4. To give yourself a greater chance of succeeding or accomplishing your goals. It has been discovered that those who review their goals regularly stand a greater chance of succeeding than those who don’t. So why not give yourself that chance of succeeding today.

5. To be able to finish Strong and well. Not everyone who starts a year or project finishes it well and at times, the reason for such is because they don’t pay attention to reviewing their goals. Matt24v13

My dear brothers and sisters, it is quite obvious from these truths that I have shared with you that it’s important to pay attention to reviewing your goals. May today usher you into such an encounter in Jesus name amen.
