What It Means To Flourish 3

Psalm 92verse12-14 ‘V12-The righteous shall flow like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. V13-Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. V14-They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.’

It’s important for you to understand what flourishing is all about if you will truly flourish. There is no doubt about the fact that God wants you to flourish as you can see from our text scripture (Ps92v12-14). However, in order for this to leave the realm of promise to reality, you need to understand what flourishing is all about, as you cannot take advantage of what you don’t understand. You can only experience what you know. This is why God is shedding his light on this subject matter in this series. I strongly believe that your life will be a true reflection of this promise. And if you have been following this series, we looked at ‘flourish’ from the Hebrew language from our last lesson. Today by his grace, I want us to look at flourish from another Hebrew word which is:

2. Ra’anan. It’s from an unused root meaning to be green, verdant: by analogy, new: figuratively: prosperous. So flourishing here means being prosperous, green, new, flourishing or verdant. I particularly want us to consider the word “verdant” here. This Word means:
-Green, lush, leafy, grassy, fresh, flourishing
-Green with vegetation; covered with green growth
-A condition of health and vigor
-To be luxuriant i.e. to be lush, that is, with a lot of young, rich, healthy growth or growing profusely i.e., growing thickly or profusely
-Green with plant life: covered with growing plants or grass and healthy green plants or grass.
So when you are flourishing, you will be green, lush, fresh, healthy, luxuriant, growing and leafy. This is what the concept of flourishing is all about. Can you see yourself in this manner? Ps52v8:Jer11v16
This is very important because you are a product of what you see. So start seeing yourself according to this pattern and picture. Renounce and reject everything contrary to these truths because they are not in line with God’s purpose for your life. I want you to begin to affirm consistently that I am growing in all these dimensions and phases in Jesus name, amen. If you are receiving this can I hear a resounding amen?
