Psalm 92verse12-14 ‘V12-The righteous shall flow like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. V13-Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. V14-They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.’

You are welcome back to our discussion on what it means to flourish. As you would have seen from our text scripture (Ps92v12-14), God almighty wants you to flourish as his child. So flourishing is your portion and heritage. It is the inheritance of the believer and it ought to be evident in every area of your life. However, if this will be a reality, you need to know what flourishing is all about. And in our last lesson, we examined flourishing from the English language perspective. Today by his grace, I want us to look at flourishing from the Bible language. Now when I say Bible language, I mean from the Hebrew and Greek language since this was the language the Old and New Testament was written. So what does it mean to really flourish in Bible language? The first Word translated as flourish in the Hebrew language that I want us to consider is:

1. Parach: a primitive root: which means to break forth as a (bud) that is bloom: generally to spread, specifically to fly (as extending the wings): figuratively to flourish. As you can see that flourish is such a very rich and powerful word but for lack of time, I want us to look at some of the keyswords here:
-To break forth as a bud. This is how God wants you to flourish i.e., breaking forth as a bud.Jb14v9, so what does it mean to bud? It means:
-To begin to develop, start to grow or outgrowth on plant
-To sprout or shoot (to sprout means to germinate or emerge and grow rapidly; to shoot means to germinate or begin to grow).
-A small part of a plant that develops into a flower, shoot or leaf.
So technically, what this implies is that you will:
-Start to grow
-experience new growth
-grow rapidly

As you flourish by his grace and help. God will bring you into this dimension of flourishing as you flourish. Num17v8. I hope you are claiming and appropriating this.

Another keyword to consider from “Parach” is Bloom. I so much love this Word because for me, it’s one of the powerful expressions of flourishing and I believe this will be your portion this season. So what does it mean to Bloom:
-The period or state of flowering
-The flower on a plant. A time period in which a plant has many open flowers.
-The time or the condition of being young, healthy and attractive
-A state or time of best health or greatest beauty, vigor or freshness: prime
-A fresh, rosy complexion. The healthy look of someone’s skin
-To glow with color, health, be radiant etc.
These are just some of the meanings of bloom; this is how God wants you to flourish. Isa35v1-2: Num17v5.

My dearly beloved ones, I want you to please pay attention to these key words and begin to appropriate them accordingly in Jesus name amen. This is how your life will be. This will be your testimony. This will be your reality in the land of the living. I see you breaking forth as a bud and blooming by his grace!
