Romans 12verse7 ‘Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: Or he that teacheth, on teaching;’
As a child of God, you have been enlisted into the ministry. Therefore, you are expected to be involved in the work of the Lord. This is why God admonishes you to wait on your ministry in our text scripture (Romans12v7). If we will render ministry that is acceptable to God, then we need to know what real and authentic ministry is all about. In our last lesson, I shared two insights as per what ministry is all about. Today by his grace, I will be shading more light on this matter. So off we go! What is Ministry?
3.A place of utilizing your gifts and abilities for God. This is what ministry is all about. I know we have different gifts and talents but what are you doing with them? Are you putting it to use in his house? Who is benefiting because of your gift or grace? Our gifts were not given for decoration or to be kept but it was meant to be used. 1Cor12v7: 1Pet4v10. My dear reader, you are to use your gifts and abilities for the glory of God. There is something special about what you carry, and it’s time for you to use it for God’s kingdom. Do you know that every investment of God in your life is an asset to the kingdom of God? So it’s time to do start doing something profitable with your talents!
4 Fulfilling the purpose for which you were born or made. Doing what you were made for is ministry. Do you know that there is an assignment you were made for? There is a race that you have been entered for! There is a reason why you were made or born. Fulfilling that purpose is what ministry is all about. For Jeremiah it was to be a Prophet to the Nations. Jer1v4-6. For Mother Teresa it was to minister to the poor and afflicted. For Benny Hinn, it was to minister to the sick and oppressed. For Kenneth Hagin it was faith. Prayer for Today: Glory be to God, for my life will never be the same again because I now know what ministry is all about!
CONFESSION: I now know that fulfilling my purpose is ministry. I also know that using my gifts and abilities for the glory of God is ministry. Holy Father help me to faithfully carry out these duties in Jesus name amen
