Romans 12verse7 ‘Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: Or he that teacheth, on teaching;’

What some people call ministry is not ministry at all. The term ministry has been greatly misunderstood and misused. There are a lot of misconceptions or misinterpretation about ministry. This is why this series of teachings is coming your way today. We ought to know what ministry is really all about and the best way you can know what ministry is about is by looking at the model of ministry, Jesus Christ himself. However, before we look at what ministry is really all about, we need to have some basic understanding about some truths which are as follows:

1. Everyone has a ministry. This simply means that every child of God has a ministry. You have obtained a ministry by virtue of being in Christ. This is an important truth that you need to have as a child of God. 2Tim1v9: Heb3v1. So you need to stop saying I don’t have a ministry because you surely have one.

2. Everyone does not have the same ministry. Our ministries are not the same, it’s just like the members of our bodies. We have different parts of our bodies but they work together as a team. In the same vein, although we have different ministries, these ministries are inter-dependant and related to each other. You need me and I need you. No ministry can stand in isolation. 1Cor12v5,18,27.

3. It’s important for everyone to abide in their ministries. Don’t try to be someone’s else rather be who God has called you to be. There is no point in trying to duplicate someone else’s ministry, so be truthful and faithful to your ministry. Although we can learn from one another, you should not try to be like someone else. Be you and be an original. You will be more fruitful and impactful when you act like this in ministry. 1Cor7v20,24.
So my dear brothers and sisters, I believe you are set for what ministry is all about with your understanding of these truths. May the Lord give you further understanding in Jesus name amen.
