Pro.29v18: Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.

Jn.10v10: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

The scriptures emphasize the importance of a vision in our lives, as you can see in (Pro.29v18). But beyond this, we also need to be aware of the threats to our vision which come in the form of destroyers or killers. This has been the basis of our discussion for some time now, and today, by his grace, I will be sharing with you another enemy of your vision. I believe you are ready for this, so off we go!

 ENEMIES OF YOUR VISION

  1. Inaction. This means a lack of action or activity. This is another subtle killer of our visions or dreams. If you are passive, you may never realise your vision. So it’s time to be an action-oriented person. The cost of inaction is high and it also carries great consequences. My dear reader, if you don’t make a move, your vision won’t see the light of day. Until you move, nothing moves! (Matt.20v6).

Inaction manifests itself in certain ways, some of which includes the following:

  • Laziness
  • Complacency
  • Excuses
  • Indecision
  • Negligence
  • Complaining/Murmuring
  • Indifference
  • Malicious compliance etc.

So what is the antidote to inaction? The solution to inaction is to:

a. Start moving in the direction of your vision. My dearly beloved ones, start taking steps from today. Start from baby steps to giant steps. If Nehemiah had not moved, he would not have succeeded in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. So start moving! (Jam.2v26).

b. Start working on your vision today. Your vision will not work until you work it. Bury yourself into your vision. Give it your time and attention. In this way, you will give your vision an opportunity to succeed (Pro.22v29).

c. Seize the moments. Make good use of the opportunities that come your way. You can’t fulfil your vision if you don’t know how to seize opportunities. So start making good use of the opportunities around you from today (Eph.5v16). It would surprise you what God would do as you begin to seize the moment. I can see your vision coming into fruition as you become someone who has a bias for action in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I commit myself to a lifestyle of taking action and not being an onlooker in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I say no to laziness and every form of complacency in my life from today. I embrace the culture of work and diligence. As I give myself to working on my vision, my expectations are coming into reality. As I move in the direction of my vision, the forces of nature and God are actively working in my favour. I attract God’s favour, and I also enjoy goodwill from the people that matter. Therefore, my visions shall see the light of day. I shall not be put to shame, for my vision is coming into manifestation.
