Pro.29v18: Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint, but happy is he who keeps the law.

Jn.10v10: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.

Every good thing has an enemy or enemies. In the same vein, a vision has an enemy or enemies. Anything that is trying to kill or destroy your vision is an enemy. Certain things will help your vision, and there are also certain things that will destroy your vision. Not everything or everyone helps your vision. In fact, not everyone is going to like your vision, neither will everything help your vision. Hence, the reason for our discussion today. We need to be aware of vision destroyers or killers and how to deal with them. The enemy of our souls uses several means and ways in trying to destroy our vision. This is why you need to know how to deal with these enemies of your vision, and this is going to be the focus of our discussion in this series. As you can see in (Jn.10v10), the enemy’s mission is to steal, kill and destroy, but thanks be to God, for your vision will see the light of day.

Dearly beloved, if you are going to succeed in defeating the enemies of your vision, you need to have the following truths in mind:

  • You need discernment to know the things that can either help or harm your vision. At times, we are blind to the things that are capable of destroying our vision without knowing it. This is why your eyes of understanding need to be open. Do you know that there are enemies that are pretending to be like friends? This was what the likes of Sanballat and Tobiah were to Nehemiah, but thanks be to God, he was sensitive to know this (Neh.4v1-8). I also pray for you that your eyes of understanding would be open to know the difference between a friend and a foe.
  • You need the courage to fight every destroyer of your vision. It’s not just enough to know what can kill your vision but it’s also important to have the courage to face those enemies. Are you ready to confront the enemies of your vision? My dear reader, you can only conquer what you are willing to confront! (Neh.4v14-23)
  • You need to do everything within your powers to protect your vision from its destroyers. At every point where the enemy comes to try to steal, kill or even destroy your vision, you must be ready to shield and protect your vision. This is a constant battle that you need to fight from time to time if your vision will come to fruition. Protecting and shielding your vision will give it a great chance of coming into fulfilment. So I charge you today to do everything within your powers in defending and protecting your vision (Pro.4v23).

My dear reader, I want you to know that whatever is trying to kill or destroy your vision, you can deal with it and overcome them all. So refuse to give in to the enemy of your soul. You will win if you don’t throw in the towel in Jesus name, amen.
