Understanding Marriage 8

Heb.13v4: Marriage is honourable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Pro.4v7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.

I trust that you have been enjoying this series on understanding what marriage is all about. The main essence of this teaching is to share God’s perspective with us with regards to marriage which will ultimately transform our marital experience for the better. Today by His grace, I will be sharing 2 more powerful insights on marriage with you. So here we go!

Basic truths about marriage:

21. Marriage is a higher calling. It’s a calling to serve God, humanity, your spouse, and your children. If you are not ready to serve, you won’t succeed in the marital experience. You must be ready to serve and not wanting to be served. It’s all about service; so you need to have a servant’s heart. It also takes love to serve; are you ready to serve? Are you ready to focus on your spouse and not yourself? The answer you give to these questions will tell if you are ready to take the higher road (1Cor.10v24). I pray that you will find the courage to serve and not to be served in Jesus name, amen.

22. Marriage is a blessing for you to enjoy here on the earth. There is no marriage in heaven, so make up your mind to make the best of your marriage here. You can either make it a heaven on earth experience or hell or earth experience. The ball is in your court. What is your choice and decision? I hope you are ready to enjoy your marriage for God designed marriage to be enjoyed and not to be endured. Marriage was not meant to make you a prisoner but a child of purpose and promise. My dear reader, it’s possible to enjoy your marriage if you are ready to play your part and take your place. I pray for you today that the wind of revival will blow over your marriage and that every painful memory shall be reversed for the better in Jesus name, amen (Pro.18v22).

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I choose to embrace fully your will and purpose for marriage in totality in Jesus name, amen. Help me never to be a cast away in Jesus name, amen.
