Time to Apply 2

Philippians 4verse9 ‘Those things, which ye have both learned, and receiveth, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.’

Just as there is a time for everything in life. There is also a time to apply the things you have received and learnt. The word is not just given for our information but also for our transformation. It’s not just enough that you are challenged by the word but that you are also changed by the word. So to what extent has the word of God changed your life and work? One of the ways of answering this question properly, is by giving your attention to the application of the things you have received. This is why this series of lessons has been coming your way and today I will continue to share with you more reasons why you need to start applying the truths that you receive. If you are ready for this, let’s examine them right away.

3. Because what you have applied will deliver you in the time of trouble or need. This is why you should give your attention to the application. Knowledge is of no use if it has not been put to the test and it’s what you have tested that will deliver you in the time of trouble. So the knowledge that you have tested is your weapon of deliverance! So my dear reader, if you don’t want to be stranded in life, start giving attention to application. Pro11v8-9: Jn8v32

4. Because it’s the things that you have applied that will change your life. The truths that you have proven will greatly influence and change your life. So if you really want to experience transformation in your life, then you need to start applying what you have learnt. Many people have remained the same because they have not been applying what God has been teaching then. So if you want a paradigm shift, then you need to become a doer from today. Ps107v20

5. Because application is what will make your christian life practical. This becomes a living reality as you commit yourself to becoming a doer and not just a hearer. As do the word, it makes the word real and genuine to you. It literally makes the word come alive. I pray that this will be your reality and experience as you become a doer and not just a heater. Gal2v20

Prayer for Today: Lord, I take up the challenge of being a doer of your word and not just a hearer only in Jesus name amen.

CONFESSION: Lord I receive grace to be a doer of your word. I also receive wisdom in being a doer of the word. I make the switch and transformation today from being a spectator to making things happen in Jesus name amen
