Proverbs 15 verse 22(KJV): Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

Dearly Beloved, how would you describe your relationship with your spouse? Excellent or barely getting along? How strong our marriage is depends largely on us because God has done his own part in making marriage what it ought to be. Most of the time, the challenge is often with us. This is why God is bringing these series of lessons your way. I believe that you will be able to take full advantage of these truths and insights because your life won’t remain the same again when you do so. I have been sharing some of the signs or indicators that show that your marriage may need one form of therapy or the other. And today, once again, I will be sharing five more additional tools for evaluating your marriage. So without much ado, let’s examine these key truths.

INDICATORS THAT SHOW YOUR MARRIAGE NEEDS THERAPY:

16. When there is no more intimacy or romance in your marriage.

Intimacy is an integral part of your marriage and when it goes down or has turned sour, it’s an indication of things not being right. So how would you describe the intimacy between you and your spouse? Is it cordial or cold? Is it strong or weak? The answers you give to these questions will determine to a great extent what kind of intimacy exists between you and your spouse. There should be a strong bond of intimacy between a husband and wife as a general rule. This is another integral area that you need to look at critically if you want a strong and healthy marriage. Pro5v18-19

17. If you are cheating on your spouse or having extramarital affairs.

This is a major threat to the peace and prosperity of any marriage. This is why such issues like this ought to be treated as a matter of urgency. Cheating on your spouse is contrary to God’s will for your marriage. Hence, anyone that is involved in such kind of activity is definitely going in the wrong direction. This is why marriage counseling and therapy will be of great help and assistance. Dear reader, do not hesitate to get help at all costs. Infidelity can occur in different ways, such as flirting, pornography, deleting text messages because you don’t want your partner to see, e.t.c. Pro6v32

18. When you are no longer as caring and loving as before.

This is another indicator of things not going well with your Marriage. If you are currently going through such, you need to get help and counseling as fast as possible. Love and affection should always be present in a healthy relationship. In fact, as you grow in your marriage, so also should your love one for another grow. Matt24v12. There is hope for your marriage because there is a Balm in Gilead. My dear reader, love can be rekindled and renewed if you are open and sensitive to God’s help. I pray that God’s help won’t elude your marriage in Jesus name, amen.

19. When your marriage is no longer a source of comfort.

Your home, as well as your partner, should be a source of comfort and security. This is the way God has made it; anything contrary to this would jeopardize your marriage. Do you always look inside or outside your home for comfort and security? If you are always looking outside or prefer to go somewhere else, it’s a sign that your marriage needs Therapy. However, my admonition to you is for you to be courageous enough to admit this so that God can turn things around for you. Are you ready to do so today? 1Pet4v8

20. When there is a lack of accountability between both of you.

As husband and wife, you ought to be accountable to each other. Anything contrary to this would spell doom for your marriage. Are you accountable to your spouse? Do you carry each other along with your plans and intentions, or do you prefer acting alone? If you cannot answer these questions satisfactorily, it simply means that your marriage needs help and counseling. Rom14v12. Don’t allow this opportunity to pass you by, be willing to make all the adjustments and changes you need to make in your life so that your home can be a haven of bliss and Joy. May these truths set you free indeed in Jesus name.

CONFESSION: Today is my day of deliverance and victory as I enter my marriage’s new realm of dominion. By the act of God’s mercies and Grace, my home is receiving a new visitation from on high. I receive the wind of change and healing upon my marriage and I cooperate with the Holy Spirit in working out the things have learnt; my marriage is turning around for the better in Jesus name amen
