Proverbs 4verse 5-7: Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Wisdom is required for life. Wisdom is needed for the business of Living. This is also portrayed by our text scripture in (Proverbs 4 verses 5-7). This is why you need to get your handle on the Wisdom of God. Essentially, everyone is operating in one kind of wisdom or the other. But are you operating in the right kind of wisdom for a living?

There are four kinds of wisdom and they are stated as follows:

– The Wisdom of God. This is Godly and Sound Wisdom (1Cor.2v7).

– The Wisdom of the World, i.e. Earthly (1 Cor.2v6).

– The Wisdom of Man i.e. Sensual or Intellectual Wisdom.

– The Wisdom of the Devil i.e. Diabolical Wisdom (Jam.3v15).

But among all these kinds of wisdom, none can be compared to the Wisdom of God because it’s the Winning Wisdom. The Wisdom of God is the Winning Wisdom. It’s the ever-reigning and Ruling Wisdom. It always wins all the time. It’s the supreme Wisdom because it’s superior to all the other kinds of Wisdom. You can depend and rely on it to deliver you. The Wisdom of God makes you a Winner and Not A loser. It makes you a Victor and not a Victim. My dearly beloved ones, this is why you need to earnestly pursue and seek this wisdom. This Wisdom is the answer to most of your struggles and challenges. So It’s time to make this Wisdom your life companion.

At this juncture, I think it’s important to define what Wisdom is.

WHAT IS THE WISDOM OF GOD?

  1. It’s the correct application of knowledge. Wisdom is not Knowledge but putting what you know to work. A lot of people confuse wisdom with Knowledge. They are not the same thing. You can be knowledgeable without being wise, but there is no how you can be Wise without being Knowledgeable. When you know how to put to work or practice what you know, that is what makes you wise. So to what extent are you putting to work what you know? (Pro.15v2: 24v5).
  1. Knowing what to do. The ability to know what to do in any given situation or time is what makes you wise. This is what wisdom is all about. No wonder the likes of Daniel, Joseph, and Solomon were considered Wise men because they knew what to do per time. A Wise man is not confused as to what to do in any given situation because of the wisdom of God that’s available to them. You, too, can operate in this kind of wisdom because you have the Holy Spirit and the word of God at your disposal. Glory be to God, for your days of walking in the dark are over. It’s a new day for you (Jn.6v6; Lk.21v15).
  1. The Word of God. Yes, this is what the Wisdom of God is all about. The Wisdom of God is what is said in the scriptures. The Word of God does not contain the Wisdom of God; it’s the Wisdom of God. God’s word is the Wisdom of God in print (Jos.1v8). It will help you to deal wisely in the affairs of this life and it will also put you over in life. This is why you need to make this kind of Wisdom your ultimate pursuit in life (2Tim.3v15).

So my dear reader, it’s time to go after the word of God. Make the word your blessed companion and guide! You will see that the Wisdom of God will no longer elude you.

I believe that this series of lessons will usher you into a new season of lifting and glory. The Wisdom of God will become your anchor and stay. It will make you a winner in every area of life.  If you believe this, say a big AMEN!

Prayer for Today: Father God, I make the wisdom of God the principal thing in every area of my life in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: It’s a new day for me. My days of walking in the dark are over. I now walk in the Wisdom of God. Therefore, I am a winner and not a loser. I am a champion and not the defeated one. God’s wisdom makes me a winner in every endeavour of life. As I walk in the Wisdom of God, I reign and walk upon my high places in Jesus name, amen.
