Luke 2verse36-38 ‘V36-And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; V37-And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. V38-And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.’

What can you say about your commitment? What can people even say about your commitment? And more importantly, what can God say about your commitment? All these questions are important and they are questions that you need to ask yourself as per your commitment to God, his work, your vision and dreams and to others! If you look at the life of this widow (Anna) in our text scripture it is clear that her commitment spoke for her! She is a good example of what commitment truly represents! 2Tim4v7; Rom16v3-4; Num25v10-13. So what kind of testimony do you have with regard to your commitment? The testimony of your commitment is very important because it will help you:
-To know where you are as per your commitment.
-To know the areas that you need to improve on.
-To do an honest appraisal of your commitment.
If you are going to be able to do this effectively, then there are certain truths that you need to know about commitment. Knowing these truths as a worker or believer will help you to get the best out of your commitment. So what are these truths?

1. Commitment is something that is contagious. It is something that can spread or affect others either positively. A good example of this in the bible is how the commitment of Moses affected Joshua for good. Exo33v11. So what can you say about your commitment level?

2. Commitment is visible. It is not something that can be hidden, denied or concealed. It’s either you are committed or not. There are no in between.2Ki9v20

3. Commitment is never static. It can either go up, go down or plateau. This is why people change from time to time but you have a great responsibility if your commitment will be top notched.
So my dear brothers and sisters, what can you say about your level of commitment? I believe God is taking you to new dimensions of commitment from this moment in Jesus name amen.
