Ps.24v6: This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face. Selah.

As you can see from our text scripture in (Psalm 24 verse 6) there is a generation of seekers that God is looking for. If you read verses 3-4, you will even see some of the qualities of such kinds of people. But the major question still stands out for all to see are you a part of the Seeker’s Generation? This is the generation that Jehovah is looking for to seek him in spirit and in truth. Dearly Beloved of God, this is why we ought to seek the Lord if he will be found of us. Are you ready to seek him indeed? If you will succeed as a member of the Seekers Generation, you need to know how God wants us to seek him. This is a very important part of our seeking him, lest we seek him in vain because there are right ways of Seeking God and vice versa also. So how does God want us to seek him?

WAYS OF SEEKING THE LORD

1. Early. God ought to be sought on time. This is why you ought to seek God on time. Why is this very important? Because the scriptures also speak of a Time of him being found. So if you don’t want to miss God, seek him on time. God is favorably disposed to those who seek him on time. So make sure you don’t delay or procrastinate your seeking of God (Pro.8v17).

2. With all your Heart. If you will find God, then scripture says you need to do so with all your heart. This simply means that you seek him with the totality of your being, i.e., spirit, soul, and body. This is how God can be found and this is the way you ought to seek him. So make up your mind that you will seek Him with every fibre of your being (Jer.29v13; Ps.63v1-2). As you seek him this way, you won’t be put to shame in Jesus name, amen.

3. Continually. You ought to seek God regularly, not once in a while or whenever you feel like it. We ought to be consistent in our seeking of God if we want to get the best from Him. So my dear reader, make up your mind from today that you will seek God in this manner. If you truly do so, you see the greatness of God in your life (Ps.105v4).

4. Persistently. This simply means to seek God till he comes through for you. At times, we are always too much in a hurry, which is why we miss out on his Best. So my dear brothers and sisters, don’t ever give up on your seeking of God. Make up your mind that you will be relentless in your pursuit of God. Let your motto be No Retreat, No Surrender! When you seek him like this, your expectations won’t be cut off (Hos.10v12).

5. First. Yes, you need to seek him First, not last, or even second. Seeking God should come first. God should be first in our priorities, agenda, decisions, or considerations. Make God your number one priority and focus. When you do this, you will never come last and more importantly, you will find him (Matt.6v33).

My Dearly Beloved Ones, these are just some of the ways you ought to seek God. By his grace, in our next lesson, I will be shedding more light on how you can seek him. I pray that your seeking of God won’t be in vain.
