Deut.8v18: And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Dearly Beloved, the tools meant for your economic empowerment are within your reach if you know how to access where it is hidden. This is why it’s called the secrets of economic empowerment. These secrets are available to and accessible to you if you know what to do (Matt.13v11). God hid them for you and not from you (Pro.2v7). And so, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I will be sharing two of these secrets with you today. So what are those two hidden truths?
HOW TO PROSPER ECONOMICALLY

  1. Increase your skills level. The more skilled you are, the greater your chances of economic empowerment. In fact, some opportunities won’t come your way if you lack certain kinds of training. Consider a pilot and potter, although both work in an airport but are not the same amount of money. Do you know why this is so? Because they are not on the same level of skills. In fact, the kind of skills you have is what determines the kind of work you will do (Ps.78v72). Dearly Beloved, to increase your earning power, increase your skills level. Your ability to earn money is determined by what you do, how well you do it and the difficulty of replacing you. I hope you will find the time to think on this powerful statement.

So it’s time to raise the bar as per your level of skill. How can you achieve this? You do so by:

  • Continuous learning. This is the minimum requirement for success in any field of endeavour. Live as if you will die tomorrow and learn as if you will live forever. Make learning your lifelong companion and friend.
  • Get relevant training to increase your level of effectiveness and productivity. Training enables and improves your level of proficiency. So it’s time to inculcate the culture of getting the necessary training in your chosen field of endeavour (Pro.22v6).

My dear reader, as you become more involved in learning, growing, and training, your capacity to be empowered financially goes to another level. May this be your testimony in Jesus name, amen.

2. Be a Wise Investor. This is one of the secrets of economic empowerment. Your job alone cannot make you rich or wealthy. This is why you need to have multiple streams of income. This is basically being able to make money from other sources, and one of such sources is becoming a wise investor. A wise investor is someone who knows how to make money work for you. Money is a good servant but a bad master. This is why you need to know how to make money work for you. This is what the Parable of the Talents in (Matt.25v14-30) is all about. The word talent is actually money. The wise servants were the wise investors, while the foolish servant is the foolish investor. You too, need to cultivate the habit of investing your money wisely if you want to be economically empowered. How can you do this successfully? You do so by:

Investigate before you invest. Do your background checks and findings before you invest (Pro.24v27).

Start small and grow big (Ps.22v30).

Seek wisdom from the financial experts (Pro.4v5, 7).

Invest in assets and not liabilities. Invest in businesses, real estate, intellectual properties, et cetera.

Let the Holy Spirit guide and lead you (Rom.8v14).

My dearly beloved ones, by every possible start investing wisely from today. Don’t just eat all your seeds. Also, put them to good use by becoming a wise investor.

Prayer for Today: Precious Holy Spirit, I embrace the learning culture and I receive your help in becoming a Wise Investor in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: My days of bearing managing are over in Jesus name, amen. The yoke of poverty and lack is broken over my life and operations. Money answers unto me as I increase my level of skill. I don’t just work for money, but money begins to work for me. I attract financial resources because I am a wise investor. I am not a servant of money but money serves me. I have good returns on my investment. Therefore, I will not labour in vain, neither will I bring forth into trouble. Praise God, my season of financial turnaround is here, and my expectations will not be cut off.
