1Chro.11v9: So David went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with him.

The secrets of becoming a great achiever are within your reach as a believer because the secret of the Lord is with the righteous. It’s given unto you to know the divine secrets of the Kingdom (Matt.13v11). You can accomplish great things in your life if you will walk in the footsteps of those who have done great things. God is no respecter of persons but a respecter of faith. What he has done for one, he can do for another. So, the big question is if you are ready to live by these secrets. This is why I have been sharing with you the pathway to greatness and in today’s lesson, I will be sharing another powerful principle that can launch you into great accomplishments in your life.

HOW TO BECOME A GREAT ACHIEVER

1. Willingness to profit from your mistakes/failures. This is one of the major secrets of those who become great achievers in life. The likes of David, Moses, and Jacob were men who profited from their mistakes or setbacks in life. You see, there is no success without failure or failing. Failure is part and parcel of success and profiting from your mistakes is what makes you a better person. Those who never profit from their mistakes or failures never become successful in life. It’s time to start profiting from your setbacks. Stop seeing them as something negative rather see them as an opportunity to learn something and move forward too. My dear reader, it’s time for you to embrace this mentality, and may today be the beginning of your transformation.

Dearly beloved ones, how can you know if you are profiting from your mistakes and failures? You can know if this is so by asking yourself the following questions carefully:

• Are you becoming better or bitter? Your answer is either a yes or a no. From what I have seen in life, those who profit from their mistakes become better persons and also better equipped for the future.
• They are not repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Dear friends, the proof that you have conquered your mistake is shown by your mastery over it. Is this a reality in your life? (2Pet.2v9)
• They have become totally transformed persons. This is also evidenced by the visible changes in their lives and endeavors. Can this be said about your experience? (Gal.5v22-23)
• They are not hurting anymore. They have become restored and healed of their wounds and discomfort (Jer.30v17)
• They are prospering right where they failed. This is another visible sign of someone who is profiting from their mistakes and setbacks (Gen.41v51-52)

Dear friends, the truth of the matter is that God can help you to turn around your negative experiences into joyful and positive encounters if only you are ready to profit from them. I pray for you today that this moment will mark the beginning of such an encounter for you in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: Failure is not final but a learning opportunity. Therefore, I refuse to be weighed down by my mistakes and setbacks. I choose to learn from my mistakes. I choose to profit from failures. I choose to be positive and not negative. I choose to go forward and not backward. All things are working together for my good including my mistakes and failures. Through my setbacks, I rise to the top. Glory be to God for my failures are the stepping stones to my greatness in life.
