1Chro.11v9: So David went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with him.

I sincerely believe you are enjoying this series of lessons on becoming a great achiever in life. You can accomplish something great with your life and in fact, you will accomplish something greater in Jesus name, amen. This is why I believe God has brought these truths into your life. So, get ready for a life-transforming encounter. Greatness is a part and parcel of the covenant. Just like King David was a great achiever, you too will become one as you imbibe the secrets of greatness. In today’s lesson, I will be sharing another secret to becoming a great achiever in life.

HOW TO BECOME A GREAT ACHIEVER

  1. Willingness to start where you are. Never despise the days of little beginnings, for every greatness starts in a small way. Start where you are and watch yourself grow and blossom with time. You need to see time as a blessing and not a burden. The problem with some people in our world today is that they are too much in a hurry. They have forgotten the fact that it takes time to become a great achiever. Nothing was suddenly created big or great (Zech.4v10). So, where are you now? Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Just start where you are! This is the pathway to greatness and glory.

My dear reader, I want you to know that everybody starts from somewhere. Start small and grow bigger. The only people that start from the top are grave diggers; so, never allow the thought of starting small limit you. Every little thing has the capacity to grow and blossom. Give yourself a fair chance like King David. David started from:

  • Keeping his father’s sheep (1Sam.16v11).
  • Running errands for his father (1Sam.17v17-18).
  • Killing the lion and the bear (1Sam.17v34-35).
  • Becoming the personal musician to the King (1Sam.16v23).
  • Killing Goliath (1Sam.17v51).
  • Becoming the King’s armour bearer (1Sam.18v2).
  • Running errands for King Saul (1Sam.18v5).
  • Becoming a captain over a thousand (1Sam.18v13) etc.

David did all this and more before he became a great achiever because he started from where he was. So, you too need to start from somewhere. Stop procrastinating. Start now. Today is the tomorrow we once hoped for. Start from your Jerusalem and it will amaze you what God will do with your life. This shall be your testimony in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, help me not to despise the days of little beginning; help me to maximize where I am to the glory and honour of your name in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: Lord, I promise to make good use of the opportunities right where I am now. Today is the best day of my life. Today is my everything. Today, I do all that I need to do with where I am. I am making the necessary moves and taking appropriate steps. I am fully committed to the entire journey of greatness for I am getting better every day. Glory be to God, for I am gaining strength and momentum. I am blossoming by His grace as I manifest the fruits of a great achiever.
