1Chro.11v9: So David went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with him.

Dearly beloved, God never designed you for an ordinary life but He created you for a life of dominion. He made you a great achiever and you can accomplish something great with your life like King David in 1Chro.11v9. This is the essence of this series of teachings and in today’s lesson, I will be sharing with you what makes someone a great achiever. I believe you are ready for me.

HOW TO BECOME A GREAT ACHIEVER

  1. Willingness to risk more. Great achievers risk more. They are not afraid of confronting their fears, worries, insecurities, and troubles. This is why they become great achievers. They live courageously. They are not playing it safe neither do they stay in their comfort zone. They are willing to risk more as David did in facing Goliath. He wasn’t just satisfied with facing the lion and the bear which in itself was a great risk, he was prepared to take a bigger risk (1Sam.17v34-37). My dear reader, I want you to know that not taking a risk is also a risk and it’s a dangerous way to live.  Those who risk more also do more than others and it’s time for you to join this company. Are you ready for this challenge? How can you know the people who are willing to risk more? You can identify such people by the following attributes:
  • They are willing to try again. They don’t take no for an answer (Gen.32v26).
  • They are willing to do what they have never done before (Gen.43v13-14).
  • They are willing to pursue their dreams/visions (Ruth 1v15-18).
  • They are willing to do what God says to do (Acts 26v19).
  • They are willing to leave their comfort zone or coasting zone and step into the challenge zone (Gen.12v1-4).
  • They are willing to confront their fears/traditions (Jug.7v24-32).
  • They are willing to venture into the dark, unknown, and unchartered territories of life i.e. they are willing to go where they have never been before (Ruth 1v19,22).

Once again my dear reader, are you ready to live like this? I pray that your response will be a positive one. I pray for courage to start making these moves in Jesus name, amen.
