Proverbs 26verse2 ‘As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.’

I believe that you are enjoying these series on some of the reasons why some of our prayers go unanswered. God’s intention and desire is to answer our prayers but he is often limited because of the way and manner we go about asking him. This is why I have been sharing with you some of the reasons for unanswered prayers and today by his grace, we will be looking at another important reason for unanswered prayers. So without much ado, can we examine it right away?

REASONS FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS:

10. Because of not praying according to God’s will.

This is one of the major causes of unanswered prayers. This is why you need to ensure that you always pray according to God’s will if you want your prayers to be answered. Eph5v17. From my observation, I have discovered that people:

-Pray against God’s will. Num14v40-45.

-Pray outside God’s will. Matt26v39-41

Doing either of the above won’t help anyone to get answers to their prayers. So if you want to get results in your prayer, you need to pray according to God’s will all the time. This is the thing that will give a surety or guarantee to your prayers.

So how is God’s will revealed or how do you know his will? His will is revealed through his word. The word of God contains God’s will and his will can either be revealed via:

-The written word of God (i.e. Logos) Isa34v16

-The revealed word of God (i.e. Rhema). The word that God gives you in a particular situation and time. It is a now word and it can differ from one person to another. You need to be aware of this dimension of his will if your prayers will be answered. Rom10v17.

My dear friends, God’s will is the best for you, and anything outside will not help you get answers to your prayers. 1Jn3v21-22

So what is the best proposition for answered prayers? It is for you to pray:

-According to God’s perfect (I.e. complete) will. Rom12v2.

-According to God’s precise (I.e. what he wants for you exactly) will. Jn6v38:8v29.

-According to God’s preferred (i.e. what the Word of God says) will. Jn5v39

My dear friends, if you really want to get answers to your prayers then you need to be familiar with God’s will because the more you know his will, the better your prayer life will be in terms of results. I pray that you will enter into this dimension of results in Jesus’ name amen.
