Proverbs 26verse2 ‘As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.’

You are welcome back to our discussion on why some prayers are not answered. Nothing happens but they are made to happen! This simply means that there are certain conditions that must be met in order to have our prayers answered and usually when these conditions are not met, we experience unanswered prayers. Once again in today’s lesson, I will be sharing another important reason why some prayers are not answered. So if you are ready, here we go!

REASONS FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS:

8. A Lack of faith.

Faith is an important quality if you want your prayers to be heard or answered. You must have confidence in the ability of God to answer your prayers otherwise why pray to God in the first place? In fact, one of the reasons humanity is drawn to God is because of his nature to answer prayers. Ps65v2. We don’t pray for praying sake but we pray because we have confidence in God’s ability to answer us. Jer33v3.

My dear friends, it is your faith that releases the ability of God to answer your prayers. So before you pray, do you have faith in what you are asking for? Heb11v6; Mk11v24. Without faith, your prayers won’t be answered, so it’s important to have faith. And by the way, what is faith, and what gives you confidence that he has answered you? What faith is:

-Faith is believing that God is able to do what he promised. Matt9v27-30. So do you really believe that he is able to do what you are asking for?

-Faith is taking God by his Word or having confidence in the ability of God. Matt8v8, 13.

-Faith is acting on the revealed word of God to you.Mk3v5.

What gives you confidence? It is God’s word that gives you the confidence that He has answered your prayers. Your confidence comes from his word. So it’s important for you to know what God’s word says for this is how you get the confidence. 1Jn5v14-15

So my dear friends, if you want to command results in your prayer life, you must be a person of faith. Therefore, no faith means no answers and with faith all things are possible. May you begin to experience the joy of answered prayers from today in Jesus’ name amen.
