Proverbs 26verse2 ‘As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.’

Do you know that nothing just happens and there are certain reasons behind whatever happens? In the same vein, there are reasons why some prayers are answered and others are not answered. This is what this series of teachings is all about and today by his grace, I will be sharing another reason why some prayers are unanswered! So off we go!

REASONS FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS:

7. Because of not understanding the laws that govern different kinds of prayers. 

My dear friends, this is another important factor you need to understand if your prayers will be answered. You see all prayers are not the same. Just like there are different kinds of sports, the laws that govern them differ. In the same way, there are different kinds of prayers and the laws that govern them are not the same. Eph6v18.

So what do you need to do if you will be successful in your prayer Life?

-You need to know the kind of prayer you are praying

-You need to know the laws that govern that kind of prayer. This is such an important criterion for answered prayers. The more you can do this, the better your prayer outcomes. So before I round up today’s lesson, I want to intimate you with the different kinds of prayers, so here we go:

1. The Prayer of Faith. Jam5v15.

2. The Prayer of Thanksgiving. Col4v2.

3. The prayer of Intercession. Isa66v8.

4. The Prayer of Supplication. Philip4v6-7.

5. The Prayer of Consecration and Dedication. Matt26v39-41.

6. The Prayer of Binding and Loosing. Matt18v18.

7. The Prayer of Agreement. Matt18v19-20.

8. The Prayer of Commitment. Ps55v22.

9. The Prayer of Petition. Matt7v7-11.

10. United Prayer. Acts4v24-31

11. Praying in the Spirit or Holy Spirit. Jud1v20.

12. Praying in Understanding. 1Cor14v15

My dear friends, these are just some of the most common prayers that we can pray. So to what extent are you familiar with these kinds of prayers? The more you understand the operations of these prayers the better you will become in getting answers. So it’s time to get busy. It’s time to grow in your understanding of this powerful principle.
