The Reasons for Unanswered Prayers 3

Proverbs 26verse2 ‘As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.’

My dear friends, I have discovered that certain laws govern the universe and the way things operate. When it comes to prayer, there are certain principles that cause us to receive answers to our prayers and vice versa.  This has been the subject of our discussion in this series and today by his grace, I will go a step further in sharing with more reasons for unanswered prayers. So if you are ready, here we go!

REASONS FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS:

4. Because of wrong motives.

What is your motivation for whatever you are asking God to do for you? If your motives are wrong then your prayer might not be answered and if your motives are right, then you stand a better chance of answers to your prayers. Jam4v3. So, my dear friends, this is another important factor you need to consider if you want your prayers to be answered. Always endeavor to check the motive behind whatever you want from God because this will increase your chances of answered prayers. Because God sees and knows our hearts, there is nothing that is hidden from him. This is also why he is able to give to every man according to his motives. Acts8v17-24; Matt6v25; Pro21v28.

My dear friends, let us keep our motives right and sincere if you want your prayers to be answered.

5. Not Abiding in our Fellowshipping with God.

Broken fellowship is one of the reasons for unanswered prayers before God. God does not want an off-and-on kind of relationship with you instead he prefers a steady and continuous relationship with him. You won’t know the Joy of answered prayers like you ought to if you are not consistent in your walk with God. Jn15v7, 16. So it’s time to take your walk with God more seriously. It’s time to abide, continue, dwell, and remain in his presence. This is one of the secrets of answered prayer. So how would you describe your relationship with God? Those who have a virile relationship with God will find it easier to get things from him than those who are far off. So it’s time to draw near! I pray that this will be your testimony from today in Jesus’ name amen.
