Isa.61v1-3: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good tidings to the poor, He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn. To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified”.
The anointing is not for decoration but to accomplish great works. This is the primary reason God placed His anointing on your life. Are you making the most of His power upon your life? Note that you can’t take advantage of what you don’t understand. This is why I have been sharing with you some of the reasons why you are anointed. In today’s lesson, we shall be focusing on two more reasons for the anointing.
Reasons for the anointing
6. To prosper and flourish in the business of living. The anointing empowers you to thrive and blossom. This is not just in the best of times but also in the worst of times. In fact, the anointing will enable you to excel where others have failed or are failing. This is how powerful the anointing you carry is. It was this same anointing that made the likes of Isaac, Joseph, and Daniel to prosper in very difficult circumstances. This anointing is also at work in your life, so, there is no reason to fail because God has equipped you for success. I want you to know that no economy, place, or man can stop you from prospering in life if you truly believe in your anointing. This is the reason you should approach each day confidently knowing fully well that His anointing won’t fail you. Arise and walk in this understanding from today (Ps.92v10, 12-14; Deut.8v18).
7. To transform your life forever and for the better. The anointing is meant for total transformation. Your life should never remain the same if you are truly operating in the anointing because the anointing is a change agent i.e. it changes your life and things for good. This was what happened to Saul as he encountered the anointing in (1Sam.10v6-7) i.e. it changed or turned him into another man. I have seen this several times and in the lives of several believers as they walked in their anointing. Not only will your life change as a result of the anointing but also the lives of those who come into contact with you should change too. The anointing should change you so that you too can change others and things around you. Precious child of God, it’s time to begin to see yourself as a change agent because of His anointing on you. Begin to see yourself bringing change to your sphere of endeavour and calling through the anointing. Glory be to God, for I see the anointing changing you and everything that is connected with you!

Prayer for Today: Father, I thank you for the anointing makes me to flourish and also changes my life for the better. Therefore, I cooperate with your power to work out this purposes in my life in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I am anointed to prosper and flourish in life. The anointing empowers me to excel in whatsoever situation of life I find myself in. I will not fail because the anointing teaches me how to respond to the issues of life and how to respond positively. I rejoice because my life cannot remain the same. I am being changed from glory to glory. Glory be to God for the anointing changes me and my story in Jesus name, amen.
