Isaiah 61v1-3: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good tidings to the poor, He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn. To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified”.

The anointing is a precious substance and it’s the heritage of a believer. It’s a priceless commodity and it’s not for decoration but to accomplish certain works as we can see in the life of the Messiah in our text scripture (Isa.61v1-3). There are reasons why God has anointed you and the earlier you know this, the better for your Christian experience. Today by His grace, I will be sharing 2 more reasons for the anointing on your life.

Reasons for the anointing

2. To proffer solutions to the challenges of life. Yes, the anointing you carry is to bring success and answers to the problems of this world. The solution to most of the troubles of humanity is in the anointing. Just like Daniel and Joseph were solution providers to their world in their time, you too are anointed to be a solution provider. There is someone in you that knows all things and as you function in this anointing, breakthroughs, and innovations will begin to be the order of the day! I can see the anointing in you providing light and illumination to the darkness of this world. It’s time for your light to shine brighter and brighter as you embrace this revelation of being a solution provider (Dan.5v11, 14).

3. To be His powerful witness. The anointing on you is to represent Christ here on earth. Therefore, you are empowered to be His voice and spokesperson. Have you been representing him well in your neighbourhood, community, school, place of work, and generally in life? How well have you been representing him? The answers you give to these questions will reveal the extent to which you are representing him (2Cor.5v20). It’s time to change the way you see yourself. You are His feet, hands, and voice and you have been equipped to represent Him well. You are His voice against injustice, rape, bad governance, corruption, oppression, inequality, and every wicked scheme and system. You can’t keep silent; it’s time to raise your voice. It’s time to fulfill your calling. It’s time for your light to prevail. I decree today that as you begin to operate in this dimension, things will begin to turn around for the better.
