Pro.18v21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

There is power in your tongue. Your tongue is the gateway into your life and the fullness of your colorful destiny in Christ. This is why you need to know how to use your mouth for your own good. Those who are wise can explore and maximize the wonder-working power of words. It is clear from (Pro.18v21) that there is tremendous power in your tongue. This is why you need to know how to make it work for you so that it can truly be a blessing and not a burden. So far in this series, I have shared three powerful means of making your words work for you. Today, by his grace, I will go further to share four more things that will make your words powerful. If you are ready, here we go.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR WORDS WORK FOR YOU

1. Retrain your mouth. All of us, without exception, need to retrain our mouths. Our mouths need to be cleansed and purified if we are to realize the power of our words. This will require discipline and tenacity of purpose to achieve this and the word of God is your purifier and helper in this regard. For it has the power to change and transform your mouth as you meditate and get more familiar with the word (Jn.15v3; Eph.5v26). You also have the blessed Holy Spirit at your side and as your aider. So, my dear reader, there is no room for failure because the greater one is with you. Rejoice, your hour of transformation has come.

2. Choose your words wisely. You must do this one thing very well if you ever want your words to be powerful and effective. Be discrete and wise about what you say. You don’t have to say what everybody is saying. Therefore, be mindful of your mouth so that it can work for you and bring you to your land of destination (Ps.141v3; Pro.17v27-28). One way you can differentiate a wise man from a foolish man is how they use their words.

3. Always learn to say what you mean, desire, and what is truthful. Avoid speaking foolishly and the reality of the matter is that the more you talk, the more likely you are to sin. So let your words be few. This is the secret of power with your words. I believe you are stepping into this dimension from today as you begin to value your words. My dear reader, it’s a new season for you, for the power of words will take you to another dimension from today in Jesus’ name, amen.

Therefore, I put premium and value on my words. My words mean a lot to my heavenly father and me. No longer will I speak empty and vain words. My words are full of power and might.
