Proverbs 23v17-18: Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; for surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.
Your expectation is much more powerful than you think it is. God has placed an immeasurable dimension of power in your expectation and he expects you to use it judiciously and for his glory. Your expectation as a believer is not supposed to be in vain. Your expectations can take you farther than you think. This is why you must know how to harness this power to your advantage. The Almighty God gives you assurance about your expectations, as you can see in Pro.23v18. So the time has come to maximize this to the glory of his name. In our last lesson, I shared with you the kind of power that your expectation possesses. Today by his wisdom, I intend to share with you two more things the power of expectation can do. So if you are good to go, let’s examine those things right away.
WHAT YOUR EXPECTATIONS CAN DO
- It can boost your faith and confidence. This is the kind of power that your expectation makes available to you. In the life of Father Abraham in (Rom.4v17-21), you will see that his expectation of a promised child keeps his hopes alive, which ultimately boosts his faith and confidence. My dear believer, what are you believing God for? Your expectation will keep your faith alive because expectation is a morale booster. And as long as your hopes are alive, what you expect will see the light of Day.
- It can change your World. Through your expectation, you can influence or change things. Things can change in your favour by your expectations. This is why you need to give more attention to your expectations. Stop discarding it. Stop belittling it, for it has a tremendous amount of power to change your world and your life. This is what happened to the crippled man in (Acts 3v5). As he heeded what Peter said, his expectation provoked a miracle on his behalf. The life of the man at the beautiful gate changed forever. My dear reader, through your expectation, things can change for the better and in fact, they will begin to change from henceforth as you engage this powerful principle. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to start applying this law. As you do so, a new world unfolds for you in Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for Today: In the name of Jesus, my expectations are working together for my good.
CONFESSION: I am in an expectancy mood. I expect something good to happen to me. Something great and glorious is about to happen to me. What I expect is coming, and my expectation won’t be cut off. As I visualize and confess what I am hoping, I enter into its fulfillment and manifestation. Glory be to God, for I am a partaker of the power of my expectations.
