Joshua 1verse8 ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’
There is an awesome power in mediating in God’s Word that God has made available to us as believers. But not every one of us is tapping into this great reservoir of strength and power. This is why it’s important for us to take our meditation on God’s Word seriously! So what kind of power will meditating in God’s Word make available to you? So what are some of the benefits or gains of meditating in God’s Word? I want us to examine some of these benefits right away:
It will give you new insights and spiritual understanding. Ps49v3
It renews your mind. 2Cor4v16
It restores your soul and emotions. Ps23v3
It causes your spirit to come alive.
It increases your knowledge of the truth of God’s Word i.e.by taking the veil from the face of truth.Pro4v2
It makes the Word of God to come alive.
It leads to success. Jos1v8
It brings about happiness.Ps1v1
It leads to depth and stability.Ps1v3
It leads to character growth i.e. fruits Ps1v3
It will help you to hear God’s voice.
It will make your prayers to be effective.Jn15v7
These benefits are second to none and they can’t be compared to anything! This is why you need to sign up for a lifestyle of meditating in God’s Word! If you are keying into this, can I hear a resounding amen?
