Luke 1verse45 ‘And blesses is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.’
There is no doubt about the power of God’s Word, but if it will work for you, you need to believe it. It is believing the Word that gives you access to the power and ability of the Word. Your doubts and unbelief will hinder the Word from working in your life. If you look at our text scripture (Luke 1verse45) it’s apparent that Elizabeth was a strong believer in the Word, no wonder she experienced the power of the Word of God. So what does the Word believe means?
It means to have faith in, upon or with respect to a person or thing. To credit or entrust something to someone. It can also mean being convinced of something, giving credence, or placing confidence in it. Your belief is important if you get the best out of God’s Word. So why is your belief important?
1. Believing opens the door of possibilities. Yes, possibilities abound when you start believing the Word of God. Possibilities like what? Possibilities of healing, deliverance, breakthroughs, joy, peace, prosperity, victory, progress, success, growth etc. The list is endless! So why don’t you start believing today? Mk9v23
2. Believing opens the door of salvation. Yes, it is believing that opens the door of salvation. Think about it for a minute! You would not have been born again if you didn’t believe the Word of God.Rom10v10-11. And by the way, the word salvation here means more than being born again. It actually includes safety, protection, preservation, wholeness, welfare, healing, prosperity, etc. It is a composite word! So it’s time to let loose the power of believing his Word in your life. Acts16v30-31
3. Believing is what makes his Word to profit you. Without your believing in the Word, you can’t profit therein. The children of Israel who perished in the wilderness did so because of their unbelief. Heb3v19.So your unbelief can limit you. It can make you fall short of the blessing. This is why you need to pay attention to your belief system. I pray that you will begin to see great changes in your life as you take believing in his Word more seriously in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Lord, I believe your Word! Please help my unbelief in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I am a believer and not a doubter! I believe God’s Word to me! I choose to put my trust in his promises. Therefore I will not fail neither will I be put to shame because his Word never fails! Hallelujah!
