Pro.11v30: The fruit of the righteousness is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

You are welcome back to our discussion on the subject of winning souls. I strongly believe that you have been blessed by some of the reasons we have examined why you need to be a soul-winner (Pro.11v30). One of the fruits that the righteous is supposed to bear is the fruit of soul winning. In fact, one way you can prove your fruitfulness is by your ability to win souls. So God wants us to take seriously this mandate that we have received from him about winning souls. Today, we go forward once again in our pursuit of understanding the reasons behind being a soul winner. So without much ado, let us examine some other reasons why you need to be a soul-winner.

REASONS FOR BEING A SOUL-WINNER:

1. Because of the danger of eternal damnation. Soul winning is God’s avenue for man to escape the sufferings and pains of hellfire. Getting born again will enable you to escape the peril of hellfire. Hell is a real place that God never intended for anybody to go except Satan and his cohorts. So, Soul Winning is an avenue for humanity to escape the danger of hellfire. This is why you need to be passionate about the business of winning souls because by so doing, you will be working together with God to rescue souls from eternal damnation. There are three kinds of death, i.e. physical, spiritual and eternal death but the worst kind of death among these is Eternal, that’s when one is separated forever from the Almighty. May this never be your heritage in the name of Jesus. This is why the greatest concern of hell is soul winning. I hope you can see why you and I need to take seriously the business of winning souls (Ps.9v17; Lk.16v19-31).
2. Because there is a heaven to gain. There is a hell to lose and a heaven to gain for those who get born again and one of the primary reasons why you need to be a soul-winner is to populate heaven and depopulate hell. In life generally, many people don’t even know where they are going when they die; this is why we need to be willing tools in the hands of the Almighty in bringing the message of hope and God’s mercy to our world. Heaven is a far better place to be than any other place in the world and it’s a place that you cannot afford to miss. This is why you need to take the mandate of winning souls very seriously. So it’s time to be a soul winner (Heb.11v16; Rev.21v1-5).
3. Because Satan has blinded the eyes of several people to the gospel as the god of this world. Satan has covered the eyes of those who are lost in darkness; this is why it is our responsibility to preach the good news so that many will be set free. The truth of the matter is that several people are under the bondage of Satan and are even ignorant about eternity. This is why the message of the gospel comes in handy to deliver men from the oppression and domination of Satan. Basically, Satan is after the destruction of the souls of men, but thanks be to God who has given us the power over the enemy. This is why you need to be the bearer of his good news to a dying world so that men can be rescued from the domination and control of the enemy. The time to rise up to this challenge is now; God is counting on you to do the needful so that men can be delivered from the oppression of the enemy. May God find you worthy of this call in the name of Jesus Christ (Jn.10v10; Rev.9v11).

Dearly beloved, I hope you can now see reasons why the business of winning souls needs to be taken seriously by any rational thinking believer. Here is our mandate and may we never fail heaven in the name of Jesus. So rise up and get busy. Be on the go for the master and let his name be glorified.
