Ps.23v1: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Our God chooses to reveal who he is through his names and one of such names is the God of all or my sufficiency. This simply means the God is more than enough or sufficient for your needs. Or, to put it in another way, He (i.e. God) is the God of your sufficiency. This was what David also meant in (Ps.23v1), i.e. He saw and took God as being more than enough for all his needs. Hence, the reason why he said, I shall not lack because when God takes care of him, know there is no failure or lack. You, too, need to take God as your sufficiency because he is the only one who is truly All-sufficient. The problem that we often have as a believer is that one doesn’t relate to him as your sufficiency. This has to change if you really want to enjoy all that God has in store for you (Ps.68v19).

My dear reader, in order to understand God as your Sufficiency, you need to be aware of certain attributes that he possesses as the God of all-sufficiency. So what are these attributes and qualities? These attributes are as follows:

ATTRIBUTES OF THE GOD OF ALL-SUFFICIENCY:

  1. He is unlimited in his means/resources in meeting your needs. This is an important attribute of God being your sufficiency. Your heavenly Father does not just have enough but has more than enough in meeting your needs. So precious child of God, your needs do not scare God. Glory be to his name; this means that God has more than enough to meet all your needs either presently or in the future. This should give you absolute peace of mind, knowing fully well that your heavenly father is more than enough (Ps.50v12).
  2. He has provided all that you will ever need. This is another important attribute of the God of your sufficiency. This attribute is also quite refreshing and assuring indeed because it shows the extent to which God loves and cares for you. I want you to think about this truth for one minute. It simply means that God has you in mind for him to have provided all that you can ever need. These provisions are there, it’s just waiting for your discovery, revelation, understanding and how to access them. This is why I pray that your eyes of understanding will be opened to these treasures from today henceforth in Jesus name, amen (Eph.1v3).
  3. He is fully committed to meeting all your needs. Yes, he is and this is why he is the God of all Sufficiency. In fact, in order to show his commitment to you, he proved this by ensuring that his ability can do exceeding abundantly and above all that you can ask or think. Glory be to his name, for no man can better take care of you like Jesus does (Heb.7v25; Ps.37v25-26).

My dearly Beloved Ones, I believe you can see the God of all Sufficiency at work through these compelling truths I have shared with you. May this revelation transform your walk with him, amen.
