The Fundamental Obligations of Love 1

1Corinthians16verse14 ‘Let all your things be done with charity.’

Love is one of the most misunderstood subjects in our world, yet it is also the most powerful force in the universe. This is why our text scripture (1Cor16verse14) admonishes us to do everything we do in love, as you can see from other translations of our text below:
-Let all you do be done in Love -Bible in Basic English.
-Show love in everything you do -Contemporary English Version.
-Let all your affairs be conducted with love-Murdock Translation.
-Do everything with Love-God’s Word Translation.
However, in order to walk in love like we ought to, you need to be aware of the fundamental obligation of love. These are the essentials or basic elements of love that you need to know about if you will succeed in your love walk. So what are these truths?

1. God loves you. This is such a simple but powerful truth about love that you need to know. God loves you! Say this out: God loves me! Say it again! In fact, you may need to say it again and again until it enters into your inner consciousness! Jn3v16.This is one of the most fundamental truths about love that you need to know without any iota of doubt. As a child of God, you are his beloved! Wow! Glory be to God! My dear reader, do you know this? Do you even believe this? If you do, it will change your whole life forever! This is why I am praying that God will grant you a deeper revelation of his lov/e for you! In case you are wondering how much God loves you, take a good look at the following:
-What Jesus did for you at Calvary. Rom5v8
-The inheritance that you now have in Christ. 1Pet1v4
-The privileges and access that you now have in Christ.Eph1v3
-How God put an end to Satan’s dominion over your life.Col1v13:2v15
-The place he has prepared for you In Paradise.Jn14v1-3
My dearly beloved, the list is endless but make no mistake about this, God loves you and there is nothing that you can do about that.

2. You are expected to love God. If God loves you so much, then it’s not a big deal for you to love him. So do you love God and how much do you love him? I know that this may seem or look funny, but not everyone reciprocates God’s love .I hope that you are not one of such people. My dear friends, the least you and I can do is to love God back in return for his Uncommon and Undying love. Deut6v4-6. So what can you say about your love for God? I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that there will be an awakening in your life today, more than ever before, of God’s love in your life and work.
