1Corinthians14verse40 ‘Let all things be done decently and in order’.

There are certain acceptable ways of behavior in marriage and certain unacceptable ways in marriage. This is a fundamental principle that you need to understand if you want to have a successful marriage. And this is what I have been sharing with you (from our last lesson). Today, by His grace, I will continue to share more insights with you on other rules of behavior in marriage. I believe you are ready for this, so let’s examine these principles now without much ado.

5. Never be unfaithful to your spouse. Infidelity is one of the major destroyers of marriage, so choose to be faithful to your partner. Your faithfulness should be for the rest of your lives. This is one of the major determinants of a successful marriage. So my dear friends, flee from every appearance of evil. Let your eyes be single. Avoid any form of emotional attachment with anyone aside from your spouse. Having baby mamas or any side chicks is certainly never part of God’s plan for marriage. Heb13v4. So embrace fidelity with all your heart.

6. Avoid keeping secrets from your partners. When you start doing such, you will begin to sow seeds of discord and separation into your marriage. So avoid this by all means. Stop trying to hide or conceal things from your spouse. Whatever and whoever is encouraging you to do so does not have your best interest at heart. Prov27v19

7. Keep your spouse’s secret no matter how small it is. As a sensible partner, don’t betray your spouse or undermine the confidence reposed in you. Never share personal details or private information about your spouse with your friends. So your partner’s secret should be safe with you. This is the way it should be if you want your marriage to work. So keep your spouse’s secret no matter how small or big it is. Pro31v10-11.

Dearly beloved, these are just some of the important rules you need to Imbibe in your marriage if it will be successful. I believe as you embrace these truths, a new life will come into your home.
