Gen. 39 v 1-6: Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelite’s who had taken him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favour in his sight and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had, he put under his authority. So it was from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus, he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.

The presence of the Lord is the difference maker and this is clearly evident in the life of Joseph as we can see from Gen. 39 v 1-6. This should also be true about you, too, anywhere you go or you are. God’s presence should speak or be evident in all that you do. And wherever God’s presence is there will be his ‘Presents’ also. In other words, there are benefits or privileges that we enjoy and experience as a result of his presence. This is what I started sharing with you in our last lesson, but today by his grace, I intend to share with you some other benefits of walking in God’s presence.

THE PRIVILEGES OF GOD’S PRESENCE:

  1. The Blessings of Divine Victory and Conquest. The presence of the Lord guarantees you victory in the battles or storms of life. There is no doubt that life is a battle, but God’s presence is ever-present to help you in whatever battle you may be facing. So cheer up, dearly beloved, for his presence is there to fight all your battles for you. You can’t be defeated because God is with you. I want you to know this truth with absolute conviction from today that God’s presence will give you victory in all your battles. So whatever confronts you today, rest in his unfailing promise (Gen. 26 v 3, 20, 22).
  2. The Blessings of Divine Guidance. Yes, when God is with you, you will never lack his direction and instructions in your life and endeavors. This is another benefit of walking in his presence. So my dear reader, know this henceforth that because God is with you, you will never lack his guidance and direction for your life. He will order your steps aright. You won’t be led astray because he is with you, and he will be your guide. Glory be to Jesus. I am super excited about this truth because God knows you need to be guided in life, and he has provided an answer to this. So rejoice, child of God, for your days of walking in the dark are over. No longer will you miss your way or lack direction in your life, for his presence will be your guide in every area of life. if you believe this, do say a Big Amen to that effect (Ps. 37 v 25).
  3. The Blessings of Divine Assistance or Help. This is another powerful benefit of walking in his presence. There is no doubt about the fact that we all need help to one degree or the other, and blessed be God; your help is in his presence. So you are never without his help or assistance. The way God’s presence came to the aid and assistance of Joseph is the same way you too should expect his help. My dear reader, you need to be rest assured that God’s help is with you in the form of his presence. Therefore, you will not be grounded or stranded in life because God is with you. And he will see to it that you are assisted and aided in whatsoever area you need it in Jesus’ name. So be of good courage, for help is on the way for you. Your help is here! Hallelujah (Ps. 46 v 1-5).

Precious child of God, I need you to know that God’s presence in your life won’t put you to shame. So it’s time for you to walk in the reality of his presence.
