(1 Samuel 17:26: “Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, What shall be done for the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the Living God?”)

There is a blessing that comes with asking questions especially the right kind of questions and this is what David exhibited when he came to the battlefield in (1 Samuel 17:26). As you can see from the text, he was not afraid of questioning everything and the questions he was asking soon got the attention of the King. In the same vein, as believers, you must not be afraid of asking questions. Why should you do this?
– Because those who ask questions are those who will get answers. No questions simply mean no answers!
– Because those who ask questions are those who make progress in life. So, a lack of progress may be due to the lack of asking questions! (Genesis 30:30)
– Because those who ask questions are those who will become better solution providers. Your capacity to solve problems is also connected to your ability to ask the right kind of questions (Matthew 17:19).
– Because those who ask questions are those who will be successful in life. Success in life is closely connected to your ability to ask questions.
– Those who ask questions are those who will gain insight and wisdom. Asking questions is an opportunity to become wiser (James 1:5).

So what kind of questions have you been asking? I want you to know that the kind of questions you ask will determine the kind of answers you will get. If you ask wise questions, you will get wise answers and if you ask foolish questions, you will get foolish answers. I, therefore, challenge you from today to start asking the right questions. Never allow the fear of asking to get in your way. I want you to know that no one is without knowledge unless he asks no questions.
