Hebrews 11verse1,6 ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. V6-But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.’

Faith is a powerful spiritual force in the hands of a believer who knows how to put it to work. Your faith was made to work and not just to be passive. This is why you need to understand the basics of faith. Without understanding the simple and necessary things about faith, your faith won’t accomplish much in this life. This is why God is bringing this series of teachings along your way. I sincerely desire that it will make your faith stronger and more effective in Jesus name, amen. We have looked at a couple of truths about faith and in today’s lesson, I will be sharing more insights about the basics of faith. So if you are good to go, let’s examine these principles right away.

9. You develop your faith by consistently feeding and using it. My dear reader, if your faith will grow and be strong, this is what you need to do regularly. Note one of the keywords here is regularly. Nothing good grows suddenly, but it must be done consistently. There is no overnight success. The secret to your success is in your daily agenda. So keep feeding and using your faith because it’s what you feed and use that will grow stronger. Pro8v34-35.

I know there might be some things that you can’t believe God for now. Don’t get discouraged. Just keep developing your faith; with time, you will be able to believe God for bigger things. So if I were you, I would concentrate on growing my faith now. Starve your fears and feed your faith. This way, you will lay a solid foundation for your faith life. Mk4v28-29

10. Use your faith on purpose. Be intentional about your faith otherwise, it won’t grow or develop. What I mean by this is that you need to put your faith to work deliberately i.e., there must be things that you are believing God for at any point in time. This is one of the ways of keeping your faith in use. Lk17v5-6. Most people wait for emergencies or bigger things in life before they start using their faith. This is why we have some disappointments with our faith. If you ask me, I will say start using your faith in the little things; as you do this, you will develop a greater capacity for faith. So my dear reader, don’t be idle with your faith. Keep it busy and occupied because the more you use your faith, the stronger it will become. So it’s time to keep your faith busy and proactive. Rom1v17

My dearly beloved ones, I believe that these truths we have looked at today will empower you for bigger results in your faith life.
